We as ex-service people (veterans) and patriots of America in defending its principles, its borders and the democracy for which it stands, believe that any individual who put their life and liberty on the front lines in the defense of America for its cause, deserves and is entitled to every opportunity to succeed in the pursuit of the American dream through the norms available in society and their community.
Therefore, we've formed the Incarcerated Veterans Consortium, Inc., to provide the assistance, services and commitment, along with the compassion, understanding and comradeship to those who have struggled, without success, to achieve re-integration into mainstream America. These individuals, who have strayed away from the social norms, have found themselves incarcerated and are now ex-offenders in dire need of rehabilitation services are the veterans that the IVC Inc. helps to provide.
Along with them, we are addressing the needs of their family members as well.
It is our intent to pursue our objectives in this arena: to provide the maximum assistance possible to these individuals whose lives and those of their family members were greatly altered by their military duty in a time of military activity which psychologically changed their whole mental perception and to a significant degree caused their straying from the “societal order.”
We shall not waiver in getting these brave and heroic veterans, whose very lives were constantly in peril, the opportunity to serve America
